Sharpen your Spanish skills! The Friendship Force of Bogotá, Colombia is ready to welcome you to a full week homestay exchange combined with a total immersion Spanish language school. You will spend your mornings in Spanish language classes taught by native speakers who are professional teachers of Spanish. In the afternoons you will visit local sights around Bogotá, and spend the evenings with your hosts and other club members practicing your language skills. In the middle of the week we will take one day off from school for a trip out of the city to see Boyacá, the site of Colombian independence, and much of the beautiful countryside.

Bogotá is the city of eternal spring, located near the equator where seasons don’t change and at 8,000 feet altitude where it is never hot. Temperatures year round are in the 60s at night and in the 70s by day. It offers many sights, including 42 museums such as the famous gold museum.

This program is designed for those with basic knowledge of Spanish who want to sharpen their spoken language skills. Classes will be given at the intermediate and advanced levels. An optional extension trip to Cartagena on the Caribbean coast will be offered.

COST: The cost for the one-week exchange is $440.00 plus the cost of airfare.

TRIP EXTENSION: We plan to offer an optional extension trip to Cartagena for 3 days. Cartagena is a colonial city located in a beautiful Caribbean coastal area. Estimated cost including airfare $300.
