Inbound Exchange-San Francisco

Our inbound ambassadors from San Francisco will be with us from April 25 – 30, 2009, and we will be looking forward to having our own members spend the week with us meeting our new friends. 

We have enough home hosts and some day hosts and small dinner hosts but we are needing more. 

If you would like the help in that capacity, contact Dale Klosterman - ED, Georgia Sigalos - home hosts, Ruth Barrow - day hosts, Brud Kisner - small group dinners or one of the event coordinators listed below.

Members received a flyer to sign up for these events. If you need more information contact Dale Klosterman, or request a flyer from edward perez. Reservations are due by April 15 to edward perez. Ambassador's fees are paid by the club.

Saturday, April 25
Visitors Arrive in the morning (Arriving ambassadors will be met by their hosts).
8:00 PM - Rodeo (Brud Kisner) Real Texas Festival, Mesquite, TX. Many activities going on this day

     outside the arena. Meet at 7:40 pm at front entrance.

Sunday, April 26 (Pam)
10:00 AM - Tour of Mandolyn Arabian Hill Ranch (Arabian horse farm), Aubrey, TX

6:00 PM - Welcome Pot Luck Dinner for visitors and all club members at home of Ed and Dora Stahl

Monday, April 27 (Paula Rose)
10:00 AM - Dallas Arboretum, 8525 Garland Road, Dallas, Texas 75218. www.dallasarboretum.org

     Cost: $8 senior, $5 per car without membership. Free admission and free car admission for two

     with Arboretum membership.  Let us know if you have a membership. 
12:00 PM - Bring a picnic lunch; ambassador's hosts please furnish a lunch, or money to buy lunch

     there; drinks will be furnished by the club. Eat at the pavilion near the entrance.
6:00 PM - Small group dinners at members’ homes (TBA); Host will provide entree and members

     bring a dish - TBA by the host. Sign up to attend or host a dinner.

Tuesday, April 28 Dallas Day (Jim Bourn)
9:30 AM - Tour of Dallas including Dallas’ new Performing Arts district

     Meet at main lobby of Union Station to meet DART bus tour of downtown, including cattle drive

     statues, City Hall, Performing Arts District and Fountain Place 
12:00 PM - Lunch at Cadillac Bar (West End) 1800 N. Market St. 214-999-0662

1:30 PM - Sixth Floor (Kennedy) Museum - 411 Elm Street (at Houston St.). 214-747-6660.

Free day for shopping or activities with home hosts or day hosts 
7:00 PM - Farewell Party - at home of Roger and Sandy Kaiser
     Cost $10 - Southern cuisine

Visitors leave. Final farewell at the airport.
